Captain Butch Ford grew up in coastal New Hampshire,and Kingston New York . Butch has been fishing for a living since graduating from Plymouth St. College, in Plymouth N.H. 

  Butch has worked on, and run commercial offshore Lobster boats, ang gillnet boats, in New England.  Along with working on and running Swordfish boats up and down the East coast. 

  He, first came to Florida in 1981, and used to work winter into the spring on charter boats, while commercial fishing in New England the rest of the Year. Captain Butch moved to Clearwater full time in 1989, and started working on the Phantom in 1992. Butch bought the Phantom in 2006.

  Docked at the Clearwater Marina on Clearwater Beach Florida, the Phantom is conveniently located to Tampa, St. Petersburg and Orlando Florida. Clearwater Beach is on the beautiful gulf coast of Florida. Avid angler or novice, a vacationing family or businessman, the Phantom can accommodate you. In the Spring, Summer and Fall we catch king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, barracuda, bonito, tuna, dolphin, wahoo, sailfish, grouper, snapper and more. In the Winter we catch grouper, snapper, amberjack and many other reef fish.

The West Coast of Florida and the Gulf of Mexico is well known for its calm sea conditions and excellent year round deep sea fishing. Clearwater, Fl, located just west of Tampa, Florida, and directly on the Gulf of Mexico is the perfect point to access and enjoy this great deep sea fishing.
